Family Medicine Physician Dr. Matthew Vermeer Joins BayCare Medical Group

CLEARWATER, Fla., (Sept. 15, 2020) – Board certified family medicine physician Matthew Vermeer, MD, has joined BayCare Medical Group. He is accepting new patients 12 and older at Oldsmar Family Medicine, 120 Pine Ave. N, Oldsmar.

After receiving his undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Dr. Vermeer earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Vermeer continued his medical education by completing a residency and sports medicine fellowship at the USF/Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Vermeer provides medical coverage for several community sports teams, treating injuries during sporting events. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
