BayCare Medical Group Welcomes Cardiologist Anna Valina-Toth, MD, PhD

Tampa, Fla. (Nov. 8, 2017) – Anna Valina-Toth, MD, PhD, joined BayCare Medical Group and is now accepting new patients (age 18 and older) at 4612 N. Habana Ave, 2nd Floor, Tampa, FL 33614.

Part of the medical staff at St. Joseph’s Hospitals, Dr. Valina-Toth specializes in noninvasive cardiology and is a member of the American College of Cardiology. Her clinical interests include cardiovascular disease; heart failure and cardiomyopathy; preventive cardiology; women’s health; hypertension; and non-invasive cardiac imaging.

Dr. Valina-Toth received her Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy in Physiology from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She then completed an internal medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University/MetroHealth in Cleveland followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, Michigan.

During Dr. Valina-Toth’s doctoral training, she secured two prestigious research grants from the National Institute of Health and the American Heart Association, where the grant application was ranked in the top 1 percent. She has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and has presented her work in national meetings.
