Ways to Limit Snoring
Control your weight. Extra pounds can aggravate snoring.
Avoid alcohol at least four hours before retiring and heavy meals or snacks three hours before retiring.
Avoid sleeping pills, tranquilizers and antihistamines.
Sleep on your side. On your back, the tongue tends to fall into the throat, reducing airflow. You snore as you breathe through your mouth to compensate.
Tilt the head of your bed upward by four inches.
Keep a routine schedule with adequate sleep. Lack of rest may worsen snoring.
