Tips for Preventing Teen Violence
Drop in on your child's school, and not just on parents' night. If something seems wrong, go to administrators.
Talk to your child's teachers. If the conduct they see differs vastly from home, that's cause for concern.
Know your child's friends. Maintain a climate at home that welcomes them.
Don't chalk up unusual behavior to a phase your child will outgrow. Talk with a pediatrician or counselor and your child.
Trust your guts and trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, it probably is.
