Morning Report

Morning Report is held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. This conference series focuses on the growth of clinical reasoning skills by utilizing case-based presentations that facilitate discussion among residents and invited faculty. These conferences are designed to be energetic, resident empowering, and offer a great start to the day.

Academic Half Day

Academic half day is held every Wednesday afternoon. This conference is an 18-month series designed around the topics that the American Board of Pediatrics recommends covering for board certification. We also included important topics that are necessary to become a well-rounded physician. Topics such as diversity & inclusion, finance, quality improvement, utilization management, and wellness are sprinkled in each year.

Board Review

Board Review is held weekly as part of the half-day didactics. Join Dr. Abanses (Associate Program Director) as he prepares you to take the boards in a high-yield, multi-modal, and interactive preparation sessions. Our program’s number one priority is for residents to graduate and obtain board certification.

Journal Club

Journal Club is held once a month as part of the half-day didactics. Join Dr. Eldridge (Neonatologist) for an in-depth literature review with discussion led by residents & hospitalist faculty.

Grand Rounds

Grand Rounds is presented virtually, once a month and is an integral component of medical education. BayCare, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital hosts lectures for medical students, residents, and faculty to learn about timely topics in medicine.
