    • Dr. Wayne Cheng is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology. He is part of BayCare Medical Group and sees patients age 18 and older. Dr. Cheng received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. He then completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Cheng continued his education by completing a fellowship in cardiology from Shands Jacksonville Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

      Dr. Cheng is a non-invasive cardiologist with special training in echocardiography. His special interest is treating patients with heart failure. Dr. Cheng is a member of the American College of Cardiology. He sees patients in the Countryside and Dunedin offices.
