    • Dr. Prudhvi Karumanchi is board certified in internal medicine, geriatric medicine and sleep medicine and is a hospitalist with St. Joseph’s Hospital-South. He provides only inpatient care within a hospital setting and is not available for appointments. He will be responsible for your care while you’re in our hospital and will partner with your primary care physician on any necessary follow-up care to assist with your continued care, once you return to your home. Dr. Prudhvi Karumanchi is board certified in internal medicine, geriatric medicine and sleep medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Andhra Medical College in Andhra Pradesh, India. Dr. Karumanchi furthered his medical education by completing an internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois-Champaign in Champaign, Illinois. He then completed fellowships in sleep medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and in geriatrics at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Karumanchi is trained to provide comprehensive medical care for the geriatric population, where he diagnoses and treats a wide range of conditions, including cross-system illnesses that may affect multiple organic systems. He also specializes in disorders and diseases relating to sleep. Dr. Karumanchi is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Geriatrics Society, the American Medical Director’s Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
