Harold J. Colbassani, Jr MD

Dr. Harold Colbassani, Jr. is board certified in neurological surgery, by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He serves the Tampa, Florida area as part of BayCare Medical Group, where he sees patients age 18 and older. Dr. Colbassani earned his Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He then completed a general surgery internship and neurosurgery residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Colbassani, an accomplished author, has contributed articles to numerous peer-reviewed publications with emphasis on cervical and lumbar spinal disorders, and he is a recipient of the Upjohn Achievement Award for Outstanding Research. He is a veteran of the United States Navy, having served as a neurosurgeon and being awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. He is a fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Colbassani serves at the medical director for neurosurgery at Morton Plant Hospital and is the assistant medical director for specialists for the BayCare Medical Group.
