Meet Our Medical Director

Dr. Samuel Messieh, Winter Haven Hospital’s Total Joint Replacement Program Medical Director, is a trusted and respected orthopedic surgeon caring for the Central Florida community since 1991.

Dr. Messieh is a subspecialist in hip and knee replacement surgery and has performed more than 10,000 joint replacements in central Florida. Dr. Messieh has been a member of the hip and knee association since 2008. He is board certified in the United States and Canada. Dr. Messieh completed a fellowship at Joint Implant Surgeons in 1989 in Columbus, Ohio. He received his medical degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; internship at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada; and completed his residency at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada.
