Research Experience:

2011 Cultured circulating tumor cells-development of a novel platform for drug discovery and in vitro chemosensitivity testing in prostate and other cancers. – Nevada Cancer Institute. Bench research involving comparing colony counts obtained with the 3-D growth method before and after initiation of treatment with CTC (circulating tumor cells) counts obtained using Cellsearch, to evaluate the assay as a predictive tool for prostate and breast cancers.

2009 Structural basis for the selective inhibition of human 3- hydroxysteriod dehydrogenase 1 and its possible effect in breast cancer – Mercer University School of Medicine. Bench research involving a PCR based mutagenesis of a 3beta-HSD mutant. I performed PCR mutagenesis, cloning, electrophoresis, enzyme cuts, transformation, plasma DNA extraction, sequencing, recombination, western blots, and isomerase assay.

2007 Church Based Diabetes Prevention – Mercer University – This research has lead to a $3.0 million grand from the National Institute of Health for continuation of the project. I was directly involved in data analysis, transcribe, code and analyze focus group data.

2005 "Quadruple Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor (NRTI) Therapy and Trizivir (TZV) and Viread (TDF) in Naive and Experienced HIV/AIDS Patients: a 30-Month Follow Up" Mount Vernon, New York HIV/AIDS Research Clinic. I was involved in data evaluation of the clinical response of naïve and experienced HIV/AIDS patients on NRTI with Trizivir and Viread.
