Baxter Pump and IV Pole
For your home infusion therapy, you will be receiving a Baxter infusion pump. The pump will be mounted on an included IV pole in your home.
Your home care nurse will discuss the operation with you in order to ensure the safe infusion of the ordered therapy.
At the end of your therapy, BayCare HomeCare will contact you to arrange a pickup of the equipment.
Curlin Infusion Pump
BayCare HomeCare is delivering to you a Curlin Pump to assist in the administration of your infusion therapy.
Your pharmacist will program the battery-operated pump specifically for your therapy. Your home care nurse with teach you how to utilize the pump for your treatment.
The pump and medication can be carried in a pouch or backpack. The medication bag is typically changed daily or every other day depending on the medication.
IV Flow Regulator
BayCare HomeCare is delivering your medication to be administered with a Dial-A-Tubing infusion set. An IV pole will be included to hang the medication bag during the infusions.
Your home care nurse will show you how to connect the tubing to the IV bag and set a safe and appropriate rate for your infusion.
The tubing is changed out every 24 hours and may be used for multiple infusions throughout the day. The tubing will be stored by sealing it with a sterile cap, which will be included, after each usage.
Elastomeric Pump
BayCare HomeCare is delivering to you an Elastomeric Pump, also known as a balloon or ball pump. This is a portable and disposable infusion device to assist in administering your infusion therapy.
A BayCare pharmacist will select the specific device that infuses the medication at the appropriate rate based upon the medication and dose your prescriber has ordered. Your home care nurse with teach you how to utilize the pump for your treatment.
For your comfort, the device should be taken out of the refrigerator ahead of time so it can adjust to room temperature prior to infusion.
EnteraLite Pump
For your home enteral therapy, you will be receiving an EnteraLite Infinity pump.
The pump will be mounted on an included IV pole in your home. You will also receive a backpack for use outside of the home.
Your home care nurse will discuss the operation of the equipment with you to ensure safe infusion of the ordered therapy. At the end of your therapy, BayCare Home Care will contact you to arrange pick up of all the equipment.
Kangaroo Joey Pump
For your home enteral therapy, you will be receiving a Kangaroo Joey pump.
The pump will be mounted on an included IV pole in your home. You will also receive a backpack for use outside of the home.
Your home care nurse will discuss the operation of the equipment with you to ensure safe infusion of the ordered therapy.
At the end of your therapy, BayCare Home Care will contact you to arrange pick up of all the equipment.
Mini-BAG Plus
BayCare HomeCare is delivering your medication in a Mini-BAG Plus device. An IV pole will be included to hang the medication bag during the infusions.
Your home care nurse will instruct you on how to activate the device and mix the drug prior to infusion.
The tubing is changed out every 24 hours and may be used for multiple infusions throughout the day. The tubing will be stored by sealing it with a sterile red cap, which will be included, after each usage.
Syringe IV
BayCare HomeCare is delivering your medication in a syringe.
Your homecare nurse will teach and train you on the technique required for the safe administration of the medication that your provider ordered.
The medication administration only takes a few moments and frees you up from being continually connected to a more complicated device such as an infusion pump.
