Substance Use Services

BayCare Behavioral Health provides comprehensive substance use programs for adults and adolescents struggling with addiction issues. In addition, BayCare offers specialized services for those with co-occurring mental health and substance use issues.

Services for adults, children and families include: 

• Care Coordination Program (CCP)
  Pregnant/post-partum females in Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties that are in need of substance abuse case management receive intervention and/or treatment services, inclusive of women who put their children at risk due to a substance abuse disorder or a co-occurring disorder. 
• Children’s Treatment Center
  Outpatient and in-home counseling services provide individual, family and group therapy to help children, adolescents and their families build on their strengths and improve their overall quality of life.
• Crisis Stabilization and Detoxification
  Immediate stabilization, triage, detoxification and inpatient care provided for adults who present with a serious and acute mental illness or substance abuse impairment, or with a co-occurring mental illness and/or substance abuse disorder.
• Family Intensive Treatment (FIT)
  FIT is designed to provide intensive team-based, family-focused, comprehensive services to families in the child welfare system in Pasco and Hernando Counties with parental substance abuse. 
• Outpatient
  Outpatient services to improve the functioning or prevent further deterioration of presenting problem utilizing the following modalities: assessment, individual, group, family, couples counseling and enhanced outpatient care.
• Residential
  Residential services for adult substance abusers and adults with co-existing disorders who have significant deficits in independent living skills and need extensive support and supervision utilizing a structured rehabilitation-oriented approach modeled as a Therapeutic Community (TC).
• Urgent Family Care (UFC)
  A moderate term, solution based, family systems in-home clinical team in Pasco County that offers child welfare families an opportunity to remain safely together or be reunified following post family separation.
