Bilal Salame, MD, Joins BayCare Medical Group

CLEARWATER, Fla., (Sept. 3, 2020) – Bilal Salame, MD, who is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in hematology/oncology, has joined BayCare Medical Group. Dr. Salame is seeing new patients in his office is at 1840 Mease Drive, Suite 409, Safety Harbor.
After completing his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Dr. Salame earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He continued his medical education by completing an internal medicine residency at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, followed by a hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Florida, where he was awarded chief fellow.
An accomplished author and presenter, Dr. Salame has contributed numerous articles and topics to peer-reviewed publications and events. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Society for Bone Marrow Transplantation and the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Salame believes in a team approach between physician and patient and always puts the patient’s need first.
He is affiliated with Mease Countryside, Mease Dunedin and Morton Plant hospitals.
