Coronavirus-Related Changes to BayCare Services and Policies

As a leading health care provider for the Tampa Bay region dedicated to the community’s health, BayCare Health System is shifting resources and adapting its visitation policies to combat the spread of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

Visitation Changes

  • Effective, March 21, visitation is closed in most circumstances to safeguard the health of patients, team members, physicians and the community.
  • Exceptions to this temporary policy can be found here.

Facility Changes

To best combat coronavirus, BayCare has shuttered some facilities to reposition its team members and resources. Several BayCare laboratory sites have been temporarily closed and some BayCare Urgent Care sites are just dealing with COVID-19. Patients needing Urgent Care services should seek out another BayCare Urgent Care site. BayCare has closed all of its Walk-In Care Provided by BayCare kiosks inside Publix Supermarkets. A list of those changes can be found here.
