Smoking Cessation, Weight Gain and Cancer, Diabetes, Sleep Apnea Devices and Mental Health First Aid

CLEARWATER, Fla., (March 6, 2018) -- Health experts from Morton Plant Mease invite the community to attend upcoming health seminars in April focusing on smoking cessation, the relationship between weight gain and cancer, diabetes, sleep apnea devices and mental health first aid. The monthly seminars are free and held at BayCare’s various Morton Plant Mease facilities and community centers around Pinellas County.

This two-hour class provides valuable tools to help you quit using tobacco. It includes four free weeks of patches, gum or lozenges.

Separating Diabetes Facts from Fiction

A certified diabetes educator will dispel the misconceptions and review the documented facts regarding the management of diabetes.

Sleep Apnea Device Therapy

A sleep expert will talk about oral appliance therapy as a treatment for mild to moderate sleep apnea, and which option may be best, based on sleep apnea severity.
