BayCare Health System Names New Vice President of Ambulatory Experience and Operations

Clearwater, Fla., (February 7, 2018)BayCare Health System has named Todd Jones the new vice president of Ambulatory Experience and Operations. BayCare is the leading not-for-profit health care system that connects individuals and families to a wide range of services at 15 hospitals and hundreds of other convenient locations throughout Tampa Bay and central Florida regions.

Jones, the former president of Baptist Health Richmond in Richmond, Kentucky, will lead and develop objectives and operating plans for all BayCare ambulatory service lines including outpatient and imaging services, team care clinics, fitness centers, wellness centers and surgery. He will also help execute the organization’s overall vision, strategy, goals and policy within each department of Ambulatory Services.

Jones, who has been a leader in various capacities at Baptist Health System for more than 20 years, brings a depth of experience in customer experience, patient safety, process improvement and efficiency to BayCare.

During his tenure at Baptist Health Richmond, Jones led a significant renovation where he helped expand the emergency department – creating an all-private room environment for patients to avoid waiting rooms. He helped bring an outpatient diagnostic service area to the hospital, which included outpatient imaging, mammography, laboratory services and pre-admission testing. He also developed ambulatory services that included outpatient physical therapy, laboratory, a sleep diagnostic center, behavioral health and a cardiac intervention program.

Before joining Baptist Health Richmond, Jones held several positions at Baptist Health Lexington leading both administrative and clinical hospital departments.

The Kentucky native completed his bachelor degree in health science and a master’s degree in health administration at the University of Kentucky.
