Golfers Tee Up for Children's Classic

PLANT CITY, Fla., Jan. 10, 2016 – Golfers are invited to tee up for South Florida Baptist Hospital’s Annual Children’s Golf Classic that will take place at Diamond Hill Golf Club, Dover, on April 28, 2017.

            The event begins in the hospitality tent at 11 a.m. with check-in and lunch, provided by Fred’s Market Restaurant. A shotgun start (four-person scramble) takes place at 12:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards ceremony at 6 p.m.  The foursome fee is $600.  The registration deadline is April 18, and space is limited to 144 players.  All participants will be included in many activities, such as lunch; access to the practice range; Closest to Pin, Longest Drive, and Putting contest; steak dinner, provided by South Florida Baptist Hospital; and door prizes.

            Sponsorship opportunities are also available at $1,000 (Bronze Sponsor), $2,000 (Silver Sponsor), $3,000 (Gold Sponsor), and $5,000 (Platinum Sponsor) levels.  All tournament sponsors will receive full recognition in all event publications and advertising, the tournament sponsor board and the Wellness on Wheels sponsor board.  Sponsors also will receive privileges at the tournament sponsor hospitality tent.

            Proceeds from the Children’s Classic support a wide variety of children’s services in the community.  More than 12,000 Plant City children and families benefited in 2016 from programs such as South Florida Baptist Hospital’s pediatric health programs and screenings; the Wellness on Wheels program; the Kiwanis Club’s support of scholarships; and the Plant City Chamber of Commerce’s support of scholarships.
