BayCare and the Tampa Yankees Team Up to Strike Out Cancer

TAMPA, Fla., May 23, 2016 Cancer survivors and their families are invited to a special night of baseball as BayCare and the Tampa Yankees step up to the plate in the fight against cancer on June 4 at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. 

 Gates open at 4:30 p.m. for cancer survivors and guests.  At 5 p.m., children under 14 will be able to run the bases and at 5:10 p.m., Tampa Yankees will sign autographs on the concourse.  At 5:30 p.m., 12 BayCare cancer survivors and a BayCare Extraordinary Caregiver will take part in the pregame ceremonies.  The game between the Tampa Yankees and Charlotte Stone Crabs begins at 6 p.m. followed by fireworks after the game.  During the evening, there also will be a Jersey Auction with donations going to BayCare’s hospital foundations.
