Morton Plant Mease Experts Host Community Health Seminars

Melanoma, Peripheral Vascular Disease and Robotic Spine Surgery

CLEARWATER, Fla., (April 1, 2016) --  Health experts from Morton Plant Mease invite the community to attend upcoming health seminars in May focusing on Melanoma prevention, robotic spine surgery, peripheral vascular disease and weight loss surgery. The monthly seminars are free and held at BayCare’s various Morton Plant Mease facilities and community centers around Pinellas County.

Smoking Cessation
Saturday, May 7

This two-hour class provides valuable tools to help smokers quit. Participants receive four weeks of patches, gum or lozenges.

Oncology Surgeon Peter Blumencranz, MD, will discuss melanoma risk factors, treatment and prevention, and Dermatologist Amy Ross, MD, will answer questions.
