Respiratory Care Services in Winter Haven, Florida

Respiratory care is a life-supporting, life-enhancing health care profession practiced under qualified medical direction. Respiratory care services that are provided to patients with disorders of the cardiopulmonary system include diagnostic testing, therapeutics, monitoring, and rehabilitation with procedures developed utilizing the Clinical Practice Guidelines provided by the American Association for Respiratory Care. Due to the nature of the illness, many patients needing respiratory services may require the full continuum of care/services including emergency care, intensive care, acute care and outpatient care, including pulmonary rehabilitation. The department offers respiratory care services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to inpatients and outpatients of all ages. Patients of all ages are treated by the department; however, the elderly and neonates are the two largest groups receiving services. Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a program specifically designed for those with lung disease. Each class is provided by a Registered Respiratory Therapist with specialized training in pulmonary rehabilitation and is provided on an outpatient basis.
