Tips for Living Younger
Keep active. As you age, you can help maintain lung capacity by doing aerobic exercise for at least 30 minutes three to four times a week.
Build strength. Weight training and strength training helps you avoid falls and balance problems.
Stay flexible. Add a few minutes of stretching to your daily routine.
Maintain a healthy weight.
Don't smoke. Smoking causes cancer, contributes to several degenerative diseases and makes you look older by drying the skin.
Protect yourself from the sun. Exposure makes skin look years older and causes skin cancer. Sun protection should begin in childhood -- 80 percent of sun exposure occurs before age 21.
Get enough sleep. Too little sleep puts stress on your body.
