Guidelines for Juice Drinkers
If your youngster's drink of choice is juice, here are several juice drinking tips from experts:
Limit preschoolers to 6 to 8 ounces of juice a day. For teens, make it 12 to 16 ounces.
Dilute juices with club soda or mineral water.
Give kids milk or water instead of juice. Spice up water with lemon or other fruit.
Don't forget to have your child brush his or her teeth; the sugar content of juice is at least as high as that in soda.
