All Tinnitus Not Alike

Although about 50 million Americans have tinnitus, each person's experiences are unique, according to the American Tinnitus Association. Some people hear ringing in their ears just after they are exposed to loud noise, but the ringing goes away. Other people hear a ringing all the time, but most of the time other noise around them drowns it out.
