BayCare Medical Group Welcomes Dr. John Gachiani

TAMPA, Fla. (November 4, 2022) - John Gachiani, MD, has joined BayCare Medical Group at 4321 N. MacDill Ave. in Tampa. He is board certified in adult and pediatric neurosurgery. He brings more than 17 years of experience and has expertise in minimally invasive surgery, which allows for smaller incisions, less pain and quicker return to activity.

Dr Gachiani offers the full spectrum of neurosurgery treatments, including spine and brain trauma, cervical discectomy and fusion, cervical laminectomy with and without fusion, cervical foraminotomy, cervical disc replacement, lumbar discectomy, lumbar laminectomy, lumbar fusion, thoracic discectomy and fusion, kyphoplasty, spine tumors, carpal tunnel, Chiari malformations and craniosynostosis. 

Dr. Gachiani is a member of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons and the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons.

He completed his undergraduate studies in biology from Penn State University in State College, Pa. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, N.H. He continued his medical education by completing a neurosurgery residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, La., followed by a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
