Dr. Anant M. Kharod Joins BayCare Medical Group

Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Echocardiography

CLEARWATER, Fla., (December 11, 2020) – Anant M. Kharod, MD, who is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and echocardiography, has joined BayCare Medical Group and is affiliated with Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. His office is at 6633 Forest Ave., Suite 300, New Port Richey.

After completing an accelerated six-year program to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine, Dr. Kharod completed his residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

To continue his education, Dr. Kharod completed fellowships in both cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology at the University of South Florida in Tampa. During his training, he received the prestigious Gold Humanism award for exemplifying compassionate patient-centered care. He also earned the Teaching Fellow of the Year award.

Dr. Kharod’s clinical interests include arrhythmia management and device implantation.

In joining BayCare Medical Group, Dr. Kharod has come full circle with BayCare, as he was born at BayCare’s Winter Haven Hospital.
