(Oct. 9, 2019) – Rachael L. Jean-Claude, M.D., has joined BayCare Medical Group at 12780 Race Track Rd., Suite 400, Tampa, FL  She is accepting new patients age 18 and older.

Dr. Jean-Claude specializes in family medicine. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio, and earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Ohio. She continued her medical education by completing her residency in family medicine at the University of South Florida - Morton Plant Mease. 

During her training, Dr. Jean-Claude was recognized for her distinguished work in women’s health by receiving the First Year Resident Obstetrics Award. In addition, she received the Resident Award for Scholarship for her outstanding research on point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS).  

Dr. Jean-Claude enjoys providing comprehensive care of acute and chronic diseases; however, she has particular interest in women’s health, patient wellness and underserved populations.  It is her desire to improve access to care and provide high quality health education to all patients. 

She is certified in basic life support, advanced wilderness life support and advanced cardiovascular life support, and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.
