Renowned Artist and Fashion Designer Michael Vollbracht Hosts Special Exhibit to Benefit St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital

On Jan. 14, 2016, internationally known artist and fashion designer Michael Vollbracht will debut his “Though Tattered and Torn…A Hundred Years of Costumes, Textiles and Shoes” exhibit, benefitting the Shimberg Breast Center at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and will take place at Lot 1901, 1901 E. 2nd Ave. in Ybor City (corner of 2nd Ave and 19th St.). Reservations are $30 and can be made online at SJHFoundation.org. 

Curated by Vollbracht, the exhibit will include rare, vintage pieces from influential designers including Christian Dior (1959), Jeanne Lanvin (1913), Oscar del la Renta (1977), Roberto Capucci (1962). The exhibit also will include clothing worn by Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga, Elizabeth Taylor, Evelyn Lauder, and supermodel Iman.  Vollbracht’s works are on display in many major museums throughout the country. Everyone from Dallas star Larry Hagman to Lady Gaga has been photographed wearing a Michael Vollbracht.
