Continuing Medical Education
The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program of BayCare Health System exists to advance clinical excellence by providing high quality, accessible, evidence-based continuing education to physicians and healthcare professionals that will enhance the knowledge, skills, professional performance and relationships they use to provide services for patients, the public or their profession.
Our program offers over 880 hours of CME attracting nearly 12,000 physicians, advances practioners, and nurses who attend any one of our 250+ CME activities. As a CME provider, we offer grand rounds, enduring material, journal club, regularly scheduled series, and multiple annual conferences that attract providers from all over our region.
In 2019, BayCare became the first health system in the state of Florida to be accredited by the Florida Medical Association. This single, system-wide accreditation will advance clinical excellence by providing uniform, high-quality, accessible education to physicians and health care providers.
As we develop our evidenced-based program, CME will be instrumental in the strategy to disseminate information surrounding the Care Transformation and Clinical Pathways initiatives of providing extraordinary, high-quality care for every patient.
