Intervention and Outpatient: Temporary Assistance To Needy Families (TANF)
Program Description
These services are specifically for persons who meet
the federal criteria for TANF and currently receiving cash assistance or at-risk for
receiving cash assistance. The goal for the TANF program is to identify and
provide the necessary substance abuse services to assist individuals in
alleviating symptoms which are barriers that keep them from obtaining and
maintaining employment, which can lead to self-sufficiency and family stability. TANF services
for adult substance abuse focus on reducing the risk factors generally associated
with the progression of substance abuse problems. These programs are intended to
serve two target populations:
- Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA):
Individuals/ families receiving cash payments, and
- TANF Diversion Families (TDF):
Individuals/ families who are at risk of needing TCA.
Hours:
Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 5
p.m.
