Adult Mental Health Recovery and Resiliency Medical Services
Program Description
The Medical Services Program offers psychiatric services for adults needing psychiatric intervention through pharmacological treatment to assist them in their recovery. This then leads to an improvement in their overall level of functioning and/or prevents further deterioration of their mental status. A team of professionals including psychiatrists, and ARNP’s, offer psychiatric evaluation, medication monitoring and management, along with psycho-education to persons with moderate to severe psychiatric and co-occurring MH/SA disorders. At the Harbor, psychiatrist’s and ARNP’s are supported by nurses and psychiatric technicians who assist with many other duties such as (but not limited to): treatment planning, securing patient assistance for prescriptions, completing authorizations for release of information, and contacting other providers.
Persons enrolled in Medical Outpatient services are encouraged to include family and/or significant others in their treatment. Should an individual have a legal guardian, the guardian’s involvement in treatment is required prior to rendering services.
