Chemical Dependency - Intensive Outpatient Services (CD-IOP) Adult and Adolescent

Program Description

Chemical Dependency - Intensive Outpatient Services (CD-IOP) involves a structured treatment program that is offered three days a week. CD-IOP is designed to support individuals in their effort to maintain abstinence from drugs and/or alcohol, teach them about the addictive process, help them to develop relapse prevention skills, and to develop a social support system through 12-step meetings.

The program has the capacity to arrange for medical and/or psychological consultation, psychopharmacological consultation and 24-hour crisis services. A comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment and individualized treatment plan, which includes problem formulation, treatment goals and measurable treatment objectives, is developed for each person.

In addition, facilitators of this service actively communicate with the other service providers within behavioral health and can assist in accessing clinically necessary additional services. A specialized Adolescent IOP, provided in Clearwater, is designed for adolescents ages 13-17 who are experiencing behavioral health issues such as family, school, relationships and substance abuse

Continuing Care/After Care is a unique counseling group service, designed to provide ongoing support and counseling for those persons who complete the intensive outpatient program or another treatment programs. Referrals are accepted to this program from other treatment providers in the community. The focus of this service is on middle-stage recovery issues and learning new relapse/coping skills to assist in long-term recovery.

A team of licensed therapists will provide treatment to individuals participating in CD-IOP.
