The Aftercare Program
provides relapse prevention, which is a vital part of all substance abuse
treatment. The aftercare program, based at the Community Recovery Center, offers
services and activities to assist the individual in reintegrating into their

Detoxification: Adult Substance
Abuse
The Detoxification
Unit is a 15-bed, medically-supervised detoxification program for adults. Medical
management of withdrawal from alcohol or drugs is provided in a safe therapeutic
environment along with 24-hour nursing care and supervision. Medical services
are provided through a psychiatrist or advanced registered nurse
practitioner. More
Intervention: Family Intervention Specialist
(FIS)
The FIS works closely
with caseworkers from child protective supervision and/or child protective
investigation. This program provides specialized outreach, linkage, monitoring,
planning, advocacy and intervention services for adult caretakers with substance
abuse issues. More
Intervention: Human Immunodeficiency Virus
(HIV)
This program provides
education to help individuals reduce their risk of being exposed to the HIV
virus. A risk assessment is conducted in a culturally and ethically sensitive
manner. Pre- and post-counseling/education tests are provided. Enhanced
counseling and education will culminate in the development of individualized
risk reduction and health enhancement plans. More
Intensive Outpatient: Adult Substance Abuse
The Adult Substance
Abuse Intensive Program provides services to adults seeking treatment for
alcohol and/or drug abuse/dependency and need a level of care beyond traditional
outpatient. The program is an intense treatment approach of various group
therapies, which are the main modality of treatment. More
Intervention and Outpatient: Temporary Assistance To
Needy Families (TANF)
These services are
specifically for persons who meet the federal criteria for TANF and currently
receiving cash assistance or at-risk for receiving cash assistance. The goal for
the TANF program is to identify and provide the necessary substance abuse
services to assist individuals in alleviating symptoms which are barriers that
keep them from obtaining and maintaining employment, which can lead to
self-sufficiency and family stability. More
Outpatient: Adult Substance Abuse
The Adult Substance
Abuse Outpatient Program provides services to adults seeking treatment for
alcohol and/or drug abuse/dependency. The Program has a brief, solution-focused
orientation, primarily through various group therapies, which are the main
modality of treatment. More
Prevention: Adult Substance Abuse
The Harbor�s Adult
Substance Abuse Prevention Program provides universal substance abuse prevention
education targeting adults in the local community. Our program provides
empirically based educational curriculum. A unique feature of this prevention
program is our ability to provide service at various locations throughout the
community. More
Residential: Adult Substance Abuse
The Community Recovery
Center (CRC) is a 26-bed Residential Level II facility for adult substance
abusers, adults with co-existing disorders and adults with forensic involvement
with significant deficits in independent living skills and need extensive
support and supervision. The program provides assessment, treatment,
rehabilitation and support services utilizing a structured
rehabilitation-oriented approach modeled as a Therapeutic Community
(TC). More
