BayCare Health System Combines Medical Experience, Soothing Environment to Create BayCare MedSpa
Quality Skin Care Services Offered by Trained, Certified Medical Team
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Dec. 9, 2008) ' Warm, cozy lighting and wood-toned floors are the first to greet visitors. But the new BayCare MedSpa is more than a soothing spa experience. BayCare MedSpa offers quality skin care procedures provided by a medical team, including a board certified physician, trained in safe skin care.
We live in the sunshine state and more than ever people are interested in taking good care of their skin and correcting sun damage. At BayCare MedSpa we offer the community a full spa experience with the medical expertise that they want and deserve,� said Donna St. Louis, vice president BayCare ambulatory services.
BayCare MedSpa is located inside the St. Anthony�s Carillon Outpatient Center, 900 Carillon Parkway in St. Petersburg. The facility�s 1,800 square feet offer a relaxing spa environment with an inviting reception area and three private treatment rooms. MedSpa services include:
- Skin analysis and consultations
- Chemical peels for face, neck, body, hands and legs
- Microdermabrasion ' a procedure combining crystals to remove dead skin cells
- Laser services for removal of hair, vascular or pigmented lesions, acne, fractional skin resurfacing
- Botox injections
- Facials
- Massage therapy
- Make-up consultations
BayCare MedSpa opened to the community August 26, 2008. The BayCare MedSpa team includes an advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP), a massage therapist and an aesthetician. The team is led by medical director and board certified plastic surgeon Jeremy Benedetti, M.D.
As a trained, board certified surgeon, I�m dedicated to providing safe, high quality skin care services and patients can feel confident knowing that MedSpa is backed by the BayCare commitment to superior health care,� said Dr. Benedetti, medical director BayCare MedSpa.
Dr. Benedetti has a distinguished medical background. Prior to his arrival at BayCare MedSpa, Dr. Benedetti served as Chief Resident General Surgery at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. Additionally, he served as Plastic Surgery Administrative Chief Resident with the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Virginia and as a clinical professor, Oregon Health and Science University, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Benedetti and his team are a wonderful addition to the wellness services we offer,� said St. Louis. BayCare MedSpa is located in the same building as the St. Anthony�s Carillon Wellness (fitness) Center. Offering skin care services is a natural extension to those provided by the Wellness Center.�
