Residential: Adult Substance
Abuse
Program Description
The Community
Recovery Center (CRC) is a 26-bed Residential Level II facility for
adult substance abusers, adults with co-existing disorders and adults with forensic involvement
with significant deficits in independent living skills and need extensive support and
supervision. The program provides assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and
support services utilizing a structured rehabilitation-oriented approach modeled
as a Therapeutic Community (TC). Family members are encouraged to participate in
weekend family services throughout the treatment process. Efforts are made to
integrate each resident and their family/significant other into a 12-step
recovery process. In addition, intensive follow-up, case management and
aftercare services are also provided.
A major focus of the Aftercare program is
specifically-designed relapse prevention skills with enhanced focus on individuals with
co-existing disorders and forensic involvement. The CRC uses an integrated treatment
approach that combines both mental health and addictions treatment into a unified
and comprehensive track for individuals with co-existing disorders. All residents identified
with co-existing disorders are assigned to a clinician who specializes in
the treatment of dual disorders. The program also serves pregnant/postpartum
women as a priority population.
