delighted to welcome you to our online Quality Report Card. Since BayCare was
formed in 1997, we have observed and taught our quality philosophy as a symbol
of what truly sets us apart. We are proud of our efforts and eager to share them
with you.
We believe that public reporting enables us to continue
improving our tradition of high quality and innovation. We also hope to help our
patients and their families become more involved in their health care decisions
by providing them with this simple, easy-to-use online tool. As an organization,
we are committed and enthusiastic about finding new and better ways to inform
our communities about the care that we deliver every day.
We are reporting quality because it is at the heart of who we
are and what we do. But, please remember that it can be complex and difficult.
Unfortunately, there is not a single, universally accepted way of measuring
health care quality. On this site, we are using nationally recognized,
evidenced-based measures and definitions to provide the foundation for our
reporting. Use this information to become better informed. And, as with all of
your health care decisions, please consult with your physician first.
