Glenn Waters
is the president of Morton Plant Mease
Health Care, a four-hospital, 1,207-bed health care system with locations in Clearwater, Dunedin,
Safety Harbor and New Port Richey, Fla. He was appointed this position in 2008.
Previously, Mr. Waters was the chief operating officer at Moses Cone Health System
in Greensboro, North Carolina. There, Waters led the development of a
freestanding, outpatient cardiac catherization joint venture with cardiologists, the planning of
the $275 million expansion of its flagship hospital and the development of
a new organizational structure that allowed leaders to work more closely with employed physicians.
Prior to his role as
the chief operating officer at Moses Cone, Mr. Waters served as the
organization�s executive vice president and was responsible for the operations of
the health system�s flagship hospital. He came to Moses Cone in
2002 from the Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas, where
he served as the executive vice president/chief operating officer. Before that, he
was the senior vice president at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia.
Mr. Waters received
his Master of Hospital Administration from the Virginia Commonwealth University
in Richmond and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hampden-Sydney
College.
