Morton Plant Mease Health Care Assists Community with Friend to Friend Program
CLEARWATER, Fla. (October 21, 2003)--Grocery shopping, depositing and retrieving prescriptions from the pharmacy are activities of daily living that many community members cannot accomplish without help. Enter Morton Plant Mease Health Care's Friend to Friend program, which lends assistance to Pinellas and Pasco County residents with these all-important activities.
"Our Friend to Friend program promotes family volunteerism by pairing up parents with their high school age children in providing special assistance to this segment of the community," said Margie Harris, director of volunteer services for Morton Plant Mease Health Care. "This service is available to anyone with a short- or long-term need in both Pinellas and Pasco Counties."
